According to a statement issued by the President Joe Biden’s administration this week, it is concerned about Russian military activity near border of Ukraine. The Biden administration reiterated its commitment to safeguard Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Expressing his concerns over reports of unusual Russian military activity near Ukraine, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that they are monitoring the region very closely. He further said that as they always do, they will continue to consult closely as well with allies and partners on the issue.
He further said that and as they have made it clear, any escalatory or aggressive actions would be of great concern to the United States.
The American State Secretary also said that the Biden administration continues to support de-escalation in the region, and diplomatic resolution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine. He also warned Russia saying the American federal government officials know it’s playbook.
Blinken said that their concern is that Russia may make a serious mistake of attempting to rehash what it undertook back in 2014, when it amassed forces along the border, crossed into sovereign Ukrainian territory and did so claiming falsely that it was provoked.
