Nowadays people use WhatsApp the most for social networking. But now WhatsApp user is going to get a shock on new year. Actually, some smartphones will not be able to use WhatsApp from the new year.

After 31 December 2018, WhatsApp will not support some smartphones. This report is a shock to many people in India because most people in the country are still using old smartphones. WhatsApp says that it will no longer extend its services to smartphones running the older version.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is a popular messaging platform. Which has more than one billion active users. However, on the occasion of the new year, now those people who are using WhatsApp in the old version phones will not be able to send messages of good wishes to their loved ones on the new year.

Now WhatsApp support from Nokia S-40 series mobile will end in early 2019. Nokia Series 40 smartphones were very popular in India. Apart from this, in Android 2.3.7 and older smartphones, WhatsApp will stop working from 1 February 2020. Also, WhatsApp support for iOS 6 users in iPhone will be discontinued from February 1, 2020. Earlier, in late 2017 and early 2018, support for WhatsApp was removed from Windows 8.0, BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry OS.

Actually, such a decision was taken because some features of WhatsApp are not supported in these phones and the phone manufacturer will not make any improvement in these phones just for WhatsApp. According to WhatsApp and its features, this phone does not have the capability of WhatsApp. So WhatsApp will stop running in these smartphones.
