US presidential election the Democratic Party candidate in which Biden defeated (Joe Biden) Donald Trump his rival Republican Party on Saturday (Donald Trump) fierce competition. This information has been given in the reports of major American media institutions. According to a CNN report, 77-year-old former Vice President Biden will be the 46th President of the United States after winning the state of Pennsylvania. After the victory in this state, Biden got more than 270 ‘Electoral College votes’ which were necessary for victory.

Indian Senator Kamala Harris is the first woman to be elected to the post of Vice President in the US. The 56-year-old Harris will be the country’s first Indian, black and African American Vice President. Biden and Harris will take oath of office on January 20 next year. 

Biden tweeted, “America, you chose me to lead our great country, I feel honored. The work ahead is difficult, but I promise you: I will be the President of all Americans – whether you have voted me or not. I will maintain the confidence you have expressed in me.
