The name Stellantis is not new to us. In July this year we heard about it and found out that two very popular car brands- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Peugeot SA. (Group PSA) have joined together to form a new brand. The symbol of this new brand has now been presented to the world. This new logo reflects the heritage of both companies and the professional background of employees working in various fields there.

The name is derived from the Latin word stello, which means shining with stars. The company says that this is an expectation, energy and rebuilding of the company that is moving towards becoming a leader in the field of sustainable mobility. The project is expected to be finalized by the end of the first quarter of 2021. Both companies have been working on paperwork and other processes for the past one year. The new company will use its expertise, talent and knowledge to deliver good things to its customers in the coming decades.

The European Union Anti-Trust Regulators launched a four-month-long investigation into the proposed merger in June and extended its investigation to 13 November 2020. Their concern is that the deal to make the world’s fourth largest carmaker could hurt competition in 14 EU countries and the UK. The good news is that both companies are already present in the market, due to which this brand is very likely to get our share.
