Mercedes-Benz has updated the EQC electric SUV with an 11 kW charger that can be used with the EQC 400 4Matic. Mercedes primarily offered a 7.4 kW onboard charger that charges 80 kW of battery for 10 to 100 percent in 11 hours. Now the company has installed a fast charging battery charger instead, which charges the battery in 7 hours and 30 minutes. The electric SUV can also be charged with a 110 kW DC fast charger which is quite handy, but still it is not the same as the charging Tesla, except in the case of the range, this electric SUV is less than the Tesla cars.

Mercedes-Benz EQC electric SUV can be driven from 450 to 471 km in single charge

In terms of interior, the new electric SUV shows the same as the rest of the company’s cars. The EQC has a dual motor setup which includes one motor each for the front and rear. This makes this SUV 4 wheel drive, which Mercedes has named 4 Matic. The EQC motors are powered by an 80 kW lithium-ion battery and these two motors generate a total of 300 kW-402 bhp-peak power and 765 Nm peak torque. The electric SUV can run from 450 to 471 km in a single charge, which is provided with a quick charge option.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced EQ Boost in all electric variants ranging from 48-volt on-board electric systems to plug-in hybrids. This electric SUV is very fast and can catch 0-100 km / h speed in just 5.1 seconds, while its maximum speed is electronically limited to 180 km / h. The EQC electric SUV is being produced in Germany and has been launched as a completely built unit in India.
