The Kawasaki W175 Modern Classic motorcycle has appeared in India for the first time during testing. Kawasaki’s new W Series motorcycle has been spotted testing near Pune, and when the bike launches, it will be the smallest size bike from the Japanese two-wheel manufacturer in the Indian market. The company is already selling the Kawasaki W800 in our country and with the new motorcycle W 175, it will also make its presence in the 200cc less powerful segment. At present, there is no direct competition for this upcoming motorcycle in the Indian market.
Kawasaki is already selling the new W175 that it is bringing to the Indian market in countries such as Thailand and Indonesia, and this motorcycle is accompanied by a 177 cc single-cylinder air-cooled, SOHC engine. We believe that the new bike will also be introduced in India with this engine. Equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, this engine produces 13 Bhp of power and 13.2 Nm of peak torque. The new Kawasaki W175 will be produced in India to keep the price of the bike attractive compared to the price, we believe that the company will keep its ex-showroom price from around Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 1.4 lakh.
Visually, the Kawasaki W175 has a retro design that matches the W800. The bike is provided with round-shaped headlamps, LED taillight with analog speedometer, a tier-drop shaped tank and single piece seat. Grab rail with W175, classic taillight with round indicators and sari guards on both sides. The motorcycle is provided with single-channel ABS in addition to spoke wheels and disc brakes. The front of the bike has telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers in the rear.
